    New to me unknown maintenance history 120k The valvetrain is noisy especially cold. Is this just a noisy engine? Changed oil to PP 5w20 cause it was on hand noticed no difference spec is 5w30. Thoughts?

    I am in Michigan so it would probably always be 60 degrees or at least 50. I am concerned about shear being as the oil is shared with the trans.Some info has said the 15w doesnt shear as bad.

    Well a K &N is 10 bucks a hi flo around that and plenty of china made filters for cheap but i compared the china ones to a K and N and they looked like crap. I guess i will just use the k and n.

    2 stroke racing oil

    I called maxima left a voicemail.to be honest i was running like 3 oz or a little more per gallon but been using a little more like 4oz lately..my thoughts where it would smoke less and not foul the plug. So should i be mixing 32.1 ?
