    EA888-Gen3 (CPKA) - P2014

I've been seeing mixed opinions which is why this is driving me nuts. I found this while continuing my search this morning. Thoughts? P2014 Sensor Replacement

    EA888-Gen3 (CPKA) - P2014

Help needed from the VAG guys in the group. "P2014 code - Intake Manifold runner position sensor/switch circuit" 2014 Passat 1.8T is throwing this code. Been searching a TON with zero success in determining root cause, more than likely because of the design changes of the intake manifold from...

    New Lenovo. DIMM quandry

The MB is likely de-popped of the secondary socket. Standard bios and firmware as it's a standard board in other models. Not worth them editing for each model. This is common in commercial products.

I thought Tesla had a valet mode, and I thought the top speed was 70. Doesn't make a difference in this case, just discussing the performance limitation capabilities. Irregardless, parents are way more lax these days- disconnected to say the least.

    Flashing third tail light

I've heard this as being standard on some newer cars, but obviously will need to look up which ones as proof. However, my VW Passat has an "emergency braking" feature. When you brake hard, the third brake light flashes to draw attention. I had first seen this on a Hyundai while on the highway.

Sell me on a SSD drive...........

I refuse to sell you on an SSD... SSDs use the SATA bus which is limited to 6 GB/s. Saying that an SSD will help anyone in any application is correct, in regards to speed, however, your specific application may be different than the typical person. It also depends on the drive, more specifically...

    Bosch Pads

To each their own I guess. I didn't choose these pads, unfortunately, the dealership did. I wouldn't have chosen the Bosch QuietCasts (Confirmed by part number) as I had noise issues with them on a previous car as well. However my main concern is the safety aspect. I drive the wife to her daily...

Howdy folks! Here's my debacle.... Vehicle is a 2014 Passat 1.8T Bought car used Dec 30, 2017- Brand new brakes- no squeal. March 2018- Horrible squeal similar to the wear sensor sound. Constant. May 2018- Pulled pads, hardly any wear at all. Noticed idiots did not apply ANY grease, rubber...

    Interior Product(s) Help...

Hi everyone! Apologies for the lengthy post- I am hoping someone in the audience has some experience with dealerships and detailing shops to help me narrow down commonly used interior detailing products. Background: I purchased my (used) car back in December and it had a full on detail done-...

    Greatest Country Song

Garth Brooks - If Tomorrow Never Comes Travis Tritt - Anymore This thread really isn't fair- I don't have a "single" song at the top of my list. I could go on and on with many different ones that I could listen to at any point in time, without hesitation. I am at a ripe age of 31, and I...

    your experience with Lasik?

Best thing I have ever done.. got it done 6 years ago at the Lasik Plus in Oak Brook- great facility and doctors if you aren't far from there. I do have more sensitivity to light, mostly with sunny/hazy days. I find that I wear sunglasses more often. Also, there are times when I feel like...

    Lost my oil change location

I have the Rhino 12k's, not a huge fan but they work. As mentioned, they are hollow on the inside, and flex a bit when I put the Challenger on them- somewhat scary. They are a PITA to use on concrete from my experience- slide like heck (apparently h*ll is censored lol). I have to lay a long 4x4...
