After 10 or 15 years, corrosion at the bead starts to become common. lay the tire flat and flow soapy water into the bead. Any leak will slowly start to foam. Try to flow the solution onto the area in a way to prevent bubbles, which can interfere with diagnosis.

I can only speculate. If this truly is the problem, they likely have bearings made specially for this campaign to give the proper clearance.

The wheel bearing hub units sold at NAPA are jobber quality. If you want OEM quality you have to pay at least 4X more. Your choice.

I too suspect the fuel filter. A dirty filter would cause loss of high end performance. A secondary suspect would be a broken catalytic converter with the pieces clogging the exhaust. Give the converter a kick and listen for rattling on the inside.
