    Corrosion Free 3000?

Hey all, I've been looking for an undercoating product to spray the undercarriage of my car for the winter. I live in the salty New England area and noticed that the new ice melting chemical used by Connecticut is causing a lot of corrosion on my cars. I've looked at a few different products...

Filtermag on Toyota 90915-10004 Filter (pics)

I recently changed the oil on my '09 Vibe with a Toyota 2AZ-FE engine. I used the filtermag for around 1000 miles. The engine is still breaking in (around 2000 miles). I was amazed at the amount of fine ferrous dust that collected around the magnets. The oil was Mobil Clean 5000 5w-20 that...

I have a 2005 Nissan Sentra SE-R SpecV and have a question regarding my transmission. It is a 6-speed with double-cone synchromesh on the first and a triple-cone synchromesh on the second gear. One thing I noticed was that if I take my time engaging first gear from a standstill (e.g at a red...

Brake Cleaner Safe for Aluminum Parts?

Hello, I didn't want to threadjack the other brake cleaner thread so here goes my question... Is it safe to use brake parts cleaner (chlorinated and non-chlorinated) for aluminum parts such as cylinder heads and blocks? I would use it just for cleaning mating surfaces of the intake manifold...

    Exhaust Stud Torque

Hello all, I have been looking all over the place for information regarding stud torque ratings. I keep getting conflicting information regarding the torque values. Is it better to keep torque to a minimum (finger tight) on "shouldered" studs? Or is it better to tighten them down with a good...
