Looks great to me. I have 27K miles on Honda MTL in a 5 speed mated to a 2.4L. Shifts fine and I am not rough on the transmission. Think I will change it out on the next oil change. Considering using Pennzoil Synchromesh, I have on hand. Thanks for the post.

Maybe try cleaning all the metal wear in remnants and re-lube after the wrench is broken in after a few weeks. I picked this up from this tool reviewer. @9:30

5 quart SN+ 5W20 RGT @ $5.24 on clearance at Walmart. I have two vehicle that can use it. I got 13 jugs. I won't push the OCI and will change it out at 5K miles. It certainly looks like QSUD which I have used without any problems. Not sure how much benefit I would get by opting for the new SP...

Nothing wrong about 5-6K mile conventional OCI in a Honda from my experience..

This K24 has 120k on mobile1 5w20. Pretty clean.

Here is a similar teardown of a Ford with only 130K miles using Mobil 1. The Honda had 320K miles using dino and ST. Both look good to me! Inexpensive synthetic and 5-7.5K miles works IMHO.
