    Charging battery with battery charger?

Let it charge to 0. It charges full output until the battery gets to around 80%, then slows down to trickle it the rest of the way, hence the current drop. The battery gets a fuller charge with less current as it gets closer to full charge.

    Hyundai/Kia drain plug failure

As beat up as my drain plug is after the “3 year 36k complimentary” oil changes, I can see why they have an issue. I don’t blame Hyundai/Kia, I blame the knuckle-draggers doing the maintenance.

    Oil usage in newer cars

I know all engines will use a minuscule amount. Usually not enough to show on the stick during the average OCI. I don’t consider that a consumption issue. As for the prop liner, the layout of the cylinders, despite being a dry sump system, lends itself to usage. Automovtive engines do not lend...

    Oil usage in newer cars

Personally, I find any oil consumption unacceptable. The ICE has been around for over 100+ years, surely by now there is no need for an oil-burning as "acceptable". My 2021 Tucson has 70K on it and has never used a drop of oil since new.

Tires wearing evenly. Do I need to rotate?

I rotate every 5k while I’m changing oil. The cars gotta be on jacks anyway to change the filter. Takes ten more minutes to rotate them. Also gives me an opportunity to look at them more closely for nails, damage, etc. I use a torque wrench to final tighten the wheels, and all wearing evenly.

Timing chain change interval on Kia 2.4L MPI

What year 2.4L have you got? With 180K on it, unless you are just into recreational maintenance, Id leave it be. Your 'tick' has apparently been there quite some time, and has caused you no issues. If it isn't burning oil, running rough, etc. Just drive and enjoy it. Timing chains are not a...
