Driving Indy to New Jersey; 750 miles.
Is there anything along the I-70 and I-80 latitudes that's notable?
Along that general swathe of the country, I have only been to Pittsburgh.
We saw the Warhol Museum.....and I "Fear the Cat" to this day (school mascot).
I'm thinking car/train/plane...
Re a 2106 XC-70; the so called 3rd generation.
My previous questions have all regarded the earlier, P2 version.
These 2016's are available with a 2.5l 5 cyl. turbo in AWD models and a 2.0l 4 cyl. turbo in FWD models.
I've found no non-turbo versions amongst all the ad listings.
Are these...
My pal's son found a 2018 RAM 1500 Crew Cab/4WD/55,000 mi.
It's white and has the 3.6l V6...not a Hemi. Their entire family has a slight Mopar obsession.
I'll be eyeballing it tomorrow.
I'm told there was a rear end hit in the Carfax report. I'll be craning my neck for the lad.
Because it...
Real simple one.
I was cleaning up and gathered together 3 old plastic bottles of charcoal lighter fluid.
Two were white plastic of a local store brand (ShopRite) and one was blue plastic bearing the Kingsford name.
I dropped the blue one at the top of the cellar stairs and the plastic ripped...
Silver w/black interior. 3.5l V-6 auto
Excellent shape...garage kept.
A trusted neighbor is selling one of these with 130K.
"The only thing wrong with it is the PS pump". Said pump made no noise when his wife started the car.
Is this a good car or a bad car, generally speaking? I know all...
Just to moan among friends....
A friend's son wants a vehicle in the title to tow his camper.
He'd prefer ~70,000 miles and dreams of staying under $25K.
So far, I've only seen one at $25K and it had 85,000 on the odo.
Ha, a neighbor has a sound looking 1999 Explorer Sport w/84,000 on the odo...
I unearthed a pair of American Optical shooting ear muffs. They're the characteristic hard, beige plastic. They were filled with a black foam which turned to dust.
Can anyone suggest a type of foam to refill the exterior cups?
I thought of using a bit of "Great Stuff". Setting up a form would be...
I pulled 18 codes from a 2006 XC-70 offered for sale at an 'unknowing' garage near me.
There was a "Gear selector lever service needed" message in the text window.
CCM- Climate Control Module
**DD15-Left temperature damper door
**DD16-Damper motor air distribution
**DD31-Recirculation damper...
A priest, minister and a rabbit walk into the Red Cross to donate blood.
The priest says, "I'm a type A"
The minister says, "I'm a type B"
And the rabbit says, "I'm a type O"
The cloth covering of my A pillars has begun to peel.
I want to recover them with a flat black finish.
I'm open to whatever will cover evenly and last. Since the covers are removable, I can prep them for primer and paint, if so desired.
More likely, covering them with black cloth is what I'll...
FYI: Canada's mint/treasury will mint coins with King Charles III's likeness; replacing that of the late Queen Elizabeth II.
However, the mint will start with quarters only featuring Charles' likeness during the month of December.
Come 2024, Charles' image will be substituted for QEII's on all...
FYI:
I stopped by a good tire joint in No. New Jersey and priced a set of 4 in 205-55-16 T-rated.
$161 each + state sales tax. That'd total $644 + $42.66 = $686.66.
mounting/balancing/disposal/valves included.
A pal wanted to service (pan drop) his 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.6l, 8 speed ZF.
In short, the ~$250 price of the 'single use' plastic pan was off-putting.
Once alerted, I found a $235 example at a CDJR dealership where I know some people.
My pal balked and opted for an unfamiliar transmission...
Engine: Kawasaki 2 cylinder 24hp FR730V in a lawn tractor.
WIX has 2 filters for this engine with differing micron ratings.
57053 has a 32 nominal micron rating
51056 has a 21 nominal micron rating
Which would you use? I'm thinking the 21 micron 51056.
Fear not, I've begun doing my homework.
I may be towing a 600 pound lawn tractor with my 2005 Ranger (4.0l, 4.10 gears).
It's a 2017 John Deere X570. I mentioned the tractor here and everyone is very positive over it.
The load is well within the wee trucks capacities.
If I can get the...
According to USPS tracking, a parcel took 25 hours 4 minutes to travel from Springfield, MO to Teterboro, NJ.
That's ~1,190 miles driving, a bit less flying.
Did the USPS truck my parcel or fly it?
Truly at phase #1. Virginia relatives are moving and selling the lawn tractor above.
Assuming good-great maintenance, garage kept. BIL is a serious gardener who keeps up with things.
I don't know the year or Hobbs reading yet.
I'm reading websites and it seems to fit our needs.
A 42" Cub Cadet...
It was purchased in 2016.
The cross-reference tool on wixfilters.com revealed it fits the 2001 Subaru Forester 2.5 my friends had 4 vehicles ago.
There are many smaller automotive and equipment engine applications for this small filter.
It was only during this search that I saw the stories...
