    Slanderous Fram Orange Can Review

This is super enjoyable to read these comments. Mr. Dun Right is a YouTube troll using idiots and alarming titles to make $$$$ from the click bait fools. Honestly there is no hope for folks who judge any kind of auto parts from watching idiots like him on Youtube. I couldn't say that while I...

Hello and goodbye to my old job

Hello fellow BITOG'ers, Afraid to say my time with FRAM has come to an end. The Trico Group (yes, the wiper company) has purchased FRAM Group and promptly let the entire sales and marketing staff go. Still happy to answer general filter/spark questions but I am forbidden from commenting on any...

Did Fram increase the bypass valve pressure on the XG10575?

Royal Purple's site doesnt have Oil filters listed on the products listing

Amsoil and Royal Purple both have disclaimers on the capacity(mileage) ratings along with the fact they are single layer synthetic media filters, FRAM Ultra is two layers of synthetic media

    Garage condensation - solutions?

My garage did the same. I have three heated walls and uninsulated garage doors. I insulated the crap out of the doors with fiberglass batts, condensation problem was reduced tremendously, garage and house are much warmer as well. Not completely fixed but huge improvement.

    No center tube

It could not. The center tube is what supports the media when oil is flowing through it. The SAE spec is no collapse at up to 75psi differential pressure. Even cartridge filters have a center tube built into the housing. It is an essential part of the filter cartridge regardless of media...

Can too thick of oil be damaging?

Absolutely. Thick oil will not get into the tiny bearing clearances of modern cars, causing way to much heat and bearing wear. I once put 20w50 mobil 1 in my CTS-V that called for 5w30. It went into limp in mode while driving at freeway speeds and oil temp shot up to 245 degrees
