It's been leaking a lot. The bottom is coated in oil. I can't tell if the oil pan gasket is leaking or not. So all that to say, that I usually add 1/2-1 qt of oil in a 5k mi run. I've only changed the oil three times so far and all with a synthetic 5w30. It might be time to try a high mileage...

I've got some PPHM 10w30 that I was going to use. Hopefully that will clean it up some.

I am slowly going through everything on the HX. Today's fun was replacing the valve cover gasket. Whoever installed the previous one did a terrible job. The car has 226k miles and who knows how many previous owners. Enjoy...

I use 75w90 in my 2004 4Runner---works fine.

The prices are pretty crazy. Many 2020 models with 20k or fewer miles for way less than MSRP.

Utah is easily my favorite state, but really any desert is where I want to be.

My 4runner is leveled with Bilstein 5100's. I didn't see any noticeable difference in fuel mileage when making the change.

We had a 2007 Yaris Sedan with the manual and it was a great car. We only replaced it when we had our first son because it was too small in the back seat to fit a baby seat rear facing.

I just did one for a friend Monday night. I charge nothing. He brings me beer, the oil and filter. I do it for any friends who want me to. I hate seeing them pay $100 for synthetic oil changes.

My Jeeps from that era always called for 10w30, so I'd grab your favorite brand and run it.

2nd the Ortofon 2M Red. I bought mine with the red Ortofon headshell as well. Makes it plug and play. I'm using it on a AudioTechnica ATLP-1240.
