I haven't seen this posted yet. I hope he has a posthumous book awaiting publication. I always wanted to know how much he was trolling and how much he was serious about!
Normally, when one's browsing one of the forums, one can see an "All" button to click on, to read an entire thread on one page (assuming it's not gone on for over 700 pages, which some have). I noticed it's not there today.
The ones with the louvers for that model number have finally made it to Canada. I was a little cautious when buying one the other day. One looked dubious and I put it back. The second seemed better, but it's hard to tell on a little filter in a store with not the greatest lighting. When I got...
See here. I can't help but think a spider in the office would be an ordinary occasion down under, but up here, it shuts down the government. In fairness, not mentioned in that article, updated later, is that someone was actually bitten and treated.
Here's a nice little video from Williams Grand Prix Engineering with respect to November 11. There's a nice little glimpse of Sir Frank; these glimpses are becoming unfortunately rarer in recent times. The team may struggle on the track as of late, but their YouTube channel is top notch.
Irv and I were both curious, since we've never seen them in Canada. My supplier indicates he would be able to get them, if I so wanted them. So, they technically are available in Canada, just never seen anywhere.
See here. In addition to limiting the oil burn business and trying to close all those loopholes, they're making a team commit to one oil specification per engine per weekend, so no qualification oil being different from race oil.
Chris Guerrero and Shell were very generous to me and provided me with nine U.S. gallons of Shell ROTELLA T6 Multi-Vehicle 5w-30. I guess my service fill conundrum with me running out of stock has been solved, and for a very long time! My stash is brimming once again, and hasn't been this...
I haven't seen this posted yet. I wonder if they'll just be using Imperial Oil gasoline. It would make the Top Tier matter seamless (i.e. think Esso Synergy), and ExxonMobil is a big shareholder in Imperial Oil anyhow.
Read here. The Motorsport comment section shows a lot of disbelief. It hasn't been retracted yet, but I find it exceedingly hard to believe that all that stakeholders met in Paris the other day (I suppose someone curious and industrious enough could confirm whether such a meeting actually took...
Anyone been following much? I've read some reports, because nothing gets televised, and the funny part is the grousing over copyright and TV rights over something no one televises.
There seems to be much gnashing of teeth in the McLaren Honda camp again. Ron Dennis may, in retrospect, be happy...
Read here. They will have to commit to only five blends per season, two per weekend, not unlimited any longer. A few things in the article will be of interest to the BITOG crowd.
Semi-off topic, Bernie may be "gone" very shortly. They have spoken of awarding him a title of "President for Life"...
Here are some pics of my latest 51358 with the louvers. Let me know what you think. They seem a bit small to me, which may be evidence of paranoia being contagious.
My pictures aren't ideal, but they are what they are. If the filter wasn't the size of a thimble, it would be much easier to...
