    Tire recommendation--will be towing

Location is Oklahoma... Snow...hardly never. Ice...that's the norm but still rare. And if it's icy I'm staying home Rain...normal I guess a question that I have that I haven't thought to ask is.... Does an AT tire provide better traction in wet conditions on a compromised surface? i.e. boat...

    Tire recommendation--will be towing

Should have mentioned size obviously. It's 265/70 R16 and I haven't had much luck finding anything with an XL load rating. I am wondering if it's due to the size of the OEM wheel. My local DT, for some odd reason, keeps trying to sell me on their Pathfinder tires. Even though I kept asking them...

    Tire recommendation--will be towing

I had an unfortunate incident last night with a jerk and his junk loaded flat bed with no covering. Now I need new tires for my truck and would like suggestions. Truck is my 2017 Frontier 2WD and I do tow our boat pretty regularly. The stock tires were the OEM Hankooks, which I didn't really...

    Toro 30/10w30 Full Syn oil

I have used, in a pinch, the Honda Power Equipment 10w30 oil. It's a polymer blend that's API SN rated. I keep this on hand for my Toro push oil changes with the Honda gxv160.

    QSUD Problems?

I've had nothing but great UOAs in my Frontier. Really good. It get's short tripped to oblivion. Idles regularly. I use QSUD in it a Fram Ultra filter and I installed an EZ Valve. I only put about 7.5k a year on it. I do a drain and fill at about 6 mos while only changing the filter every...

Best off the shelf oil for the price

QSUD for me. It's a really solid performing oil for my needs. All of my UOAs have come back stellar on my Frontier. Our Sorento is really hard on oil due to DI. I change it out every 3750 due to it's warranty.

    Scheaffers moly worth it?

Thanks Triple_Se7en....I know I was off topic (sorta) and I didn't mean to hijack OP's thread.

    Scheaffers moly worth it?

To the OP...I've used Schaeffers 7000 5w30 before in two consecutive oil changes and it's a very quality oil. In truth, I didn't run a UOA to see the results of the oils performance. But it didn't cause any issues that were noticed or experienced. Use it without worry of quality.

    Honda engine Vs Nissan

UD, I chose the vehicle. My needs were a truck that could fit in my garage. Prior to the Frontier I had the GMC Canyon. It was in the shop non stop for the transmission. At the time the only other options for small/mid size trucks were the Taco or Frontier. I was looking at CPO used ones. The...

    Honda engine Vs Nissan

I think it's like most things. Pick the best product for your needs. For me, I opted for the 4.0l VQ in the Nissan. I chose it for it's power, simplicity, and reliability.

    2012 Acura TSX Wagon

I absolutely loved ours. We put about 60k on it and sold it. It's one of a handful of cars that I regret selling. My wife didn't like it because it was too low to the ground for her. She also would hit stuff with it because...well....ahem. I think about that car all the time.

    College Football Rankings

I'm not a fan of pre-season polls. Even though my team, Oklahoma, usually benefits from it. My thought is to not have the polls come out until after week 4. Like BMWTurboDzl said, it's just for the media and fans. I just think currently it can be detrimental to the final outcome at the end of...

Would you change oil before a LONG trip?

No. But I don't remember the warranty requirements for Subaru. But you are probably out of warranty (unless extended)? If no warranty issues then by all means keep the oil in and change it when you get back.

How to uninstall program that won't let me?

You can either run an install again with your disk and see if it repairs the uninstall program or I've had good luck with the free version of Revo Uninstaller.

Rental Review - 2018 Nissan Frontier Pro 4X

I loved everything about my Canyon when I had it except the transmission. Which is why it was traded for my Frontier. And you're right they are a Rolls compared to the Frontier. I'm completely ok with the dated and plastic interior of my Frontier. As long is doesn't end up in the shop like my...

    Nissan frontier base model

Honestly I wouldn't get the 2.5 Frontier. I would get a lightly used 4.0 if I were you. Fuel economy wouldn't be too much different. By which I mean not great. The 4.0 is pretty bullet proof and old as dirt. Just my 2 cents.
