    High Flow Thermostats

On my Wrangler that I had the Golen 4.6L stroker engine in, I put in a Hesco high flow thermostat housing and their high flow water pump along with a new factory style radiator. Initially I had the high flow thermostat in, but the temp was too low for my liking so I replaced it with a OEM one...

Car brand that burned you so bad on reliability you'd never buy again?

Our 2005.5 Jetta TDI looked good on the back of a tow truck. Close second was a 2001 Ford Ranger. I will say the Ford service was much better than VW.

I had the chance to by a(n)________and didn't do it.

Back in the mid 80s there was an auction held up in South San Francisco for lease returns, repos, ect. There was a lot of run of the mill cars, but sometimes there would be something out of the ordinary. One of those was a 1972 Jaguar XKE convertible with the V12 and a manual transmission. It...

    Penne alla Boscaiola

I make something similar. I cook the pasta - I use Bucatini pasta - put it in a baking dish. Add breaded chicken like what you use for chicken parmigiana, but when you cook the chicken in the pan, when the second side is cooked, splash some Marsala wine on it and briefly cook it on both sides...

    ZF FWD/AWD 9 Speed Tranny...AGAIN!

I can't speak to the reliability of the unit, but I can say the shifting leaves a lot to be desired. The programming is horrible. There are times you have to floor it just to get it to downshift to accelerate. In Sport mode it behaves much better, but the RPMs are kept higher when cruising.

    01 Suburban e-fans on a budget

Maybe I'm over thinking this, but until the thermostat is open, there is not much coolant flowing through the radiator. In this case it would not matter if the fan was on or off. You might be better off with a block or oil pan heater and a timer. But that would be somewhat of a hassle also...
