    Totaled (?): '15 BMW 328i

The Regal and LaCrosse seem to be at opposite ends of the comfort scale for me. I drove both last time I shopped. I ended up with a Lincoln MKS and I had been driving GM for years. The MKS (Taurus) and the MKZ (Fusion) have all the comfort and convenience you will want. Certified Lincolns come...

    Totaled (?): '15 BMW 328i

And when you do go car shopping, pay close attention to make sure your new car was not in a flood. Most reputable dealers won't touch one, but you never know. I'm sure many people here can give you quick tips on where to look like rocker panels and under the carpet.

    Totaled (?): '15 BMW 328i

My guess is they found water in the engine or transmission oil to have that big of a new damage amount. The insurance company will send you a check for the fair market value of the car. They will supply three or four comparable cars in your area as their basis for their number. If your your...

    Fuel Tanker Driver Here

Thank you for all of your information. Curious if you have been hauling any pure gas? We have a regional convenience store chain, Wawa, which operates in the northeastern US and lately Florida, that is offering ethanol-free gas at their newer stations. The closest one to me in the Philadelphia...

Went With Amana/Goodman for New HVAC

We installed a new Amana gas furnace back in 2015 and it has been great. Of course, it replaced a 50 year old oil furnace so anything would have been an improvement but we really like the Amana. We have a 20 year old Goodman A/C which will be next on the list to replace.

    2013 Ford F150 3.5 EB, 5,283 mi Motorcraft Blend 5w30

Excellent report. My 2014 MKS with the 3.5 EB is under 6 yr, 100,000 extended warranty and the dealer told me that they recommend a 5,000 mi OCI with the MC blend. I asked about synthetic and they said the blend is all I need. Your results prove that.

All WAWA stations now sell E0 in S. Florida

I live 5 miles from Wawa's corporate headquarters but the closest E0 station is 50 miles away in Allentown. Hopefully the trend of giving consumers a choice with pure gas continues.

Will you ever buy a new car again?

While it can take longer to find the exact used car you want equipped the way you want, I don't see myself ever buying new again. I get a low mileage "creampuff" as they used to say; often with an extended warranty that is better than the new one for half the price of new.

    NCAA Tournament

None of the 6 or 7 regular players are seniors so it will be interesting to see if they want to be play another year.

Double digit wins over every team they played in the tournament was pretty impressive. Disclaimer: Villanova grad, 1977

    Help pick new ride

Another vote for the Taurus/Lincoln MKS. Looked at the the SHO, but the MKS had everything plus a bumper to bumper 6 yr/100k warranty for a used one. My 2014 has the 3.5l ecoboost and 355hp. Power, huge trunk, heated cooled leather, nav, premium radio, two sunroofs, AWD, 20" wheels, remote...

    215/50/r17 Bridgestone Turanza Serenity Plus!??

That is a top of the line tire but cost prohibitive in my size. I have always liked the tread pattern. No brainer at that price.

    DNA testing - Ancestry, 23andMe...etc.

My brother and sister both had theirs done recently and they are very close but not exact. My brother gave me the kit for Christmas and I thought it shouldn't show much of a difference between siblings but I thanked him and will do the test. Coincidentally, my BIL gave my wife one for...

Thoughts on 2006 Grand Prix GT for $4600?

Looks like a clean, well maintained car. I owned a 2007 GT for 7 years - great car. Mine used to eat wheel bearings later in its life. The transmission is a HD version on the GT - very reliable. If the fluids look fresh, I think it's a fair price; knowing there is always a little wiggle room...

Thoughts on 2007 Taurus for $3200

I would run a carfax to check it's history. Probably spent a good part of its life in a rental fleet being a 2007.

Volvo sets another earnings record... under Geely

The VIN number will tell you where your Volvo was made. Chinese Volvos have a VIN that starts with a "L"; those made in Sweden start with a "Y". There may be plants in other countries as well.

    Active grille shutters

When someone asked if my car had them ('14 MKS) I was ready to say, yes, I keep them right next to the blinker fluid reservoir. Then I googled and found that my car and many others do have them. I even saw a dealer that was selling a '16 MKS which read: "Low miles, twin turbo, heated leather...

    cholecystectomy

Best of luck with your recovery. Had gall bladder removed the same way 10 years ago. First time in a hospital that I was not a visitor. Admitted Thursday through emergency room, operated on Friday, released Saturday, went home to delicious chicken broth and jello. Pain returned Sunday night...

    UCLA players arrested in China.....

Wonder if they violated the terms of their scholarship? UCLA gives them a 4 year tuition free education and they play basketball full-time. Since they are suspended for stealing, I wonder if they forfeit their scholarship this year? Must be a morals clause in the scholarship.
