AGM won't fully charge from alternator?

That change in MPG doesn’t seem realistic, though I could obviously be wrong. Once the battery is fully charged the amp draw is almost nothing. Now, if you’re short-tripping a lot, causing a frequently depleted SoC, then there are many others more likely factors for such a degradation in mileage.

    What're your home thermostat settings?

My wife forgot to turn the heat down the other day after showers and it got up to near 70 in the bedroom. Yuck! I slept with my light blanket half off of me. I still prefer around 60-65 and will tend to pull on a thicker blanket and be just as cozy warm when the bedroom drops into the 50s.

Battery maintainer charges to 14+ volts

My alternator on both cars puts out around 14.2VDC. My smart chargers bulk charge at higher then taper down as the battery charge completes and then switches to a float charge. When I manually charge my batteries I use 14.4VDC for my flooded batteries, then 13.5 or so float. The current when...

    Price of a 12 pack of Coca-Cola

I don't like it quite as much, but store-brand soda is a buck per 2L bottle. I've been trying to cut back, but I love me some orange drank!

PSA: Check Electricity Supplier Rates (Savings!)

Sorry, I should have mentioned that this is 36 months fixed rate. The old contract was also 36 months fixed rate. I was honestly expecting them to tell me to go pound sand, but the whole update only took around 5 min! Edit: they said it would take 2-3 billing cycles. The initial switch took...

PSA: Check Electricity Supplier Rates (Savings!)

PSA: I changed suppliers in Feb of this year and went from 23.78 cents/kWh --> 16.59 cents, then again just now for 12.49. I just checked a few minutes ago and the rate at 12.49. I called and they gave me the new fixed rate, "as a one-time courtesy". Literally took me 5 min I know not everyone...

    Goodbye T-Mobile-Hello Google Fi

@Cropduster172 what nonsense and drama did you experience? I’ve had excellent luck with Sprint before and now TMobile. My local brick and mortar staff have been excellent. I ended up getting a heavily discounted pair of phones a couple of years ago and there were no issues. with that said, I’m...

    The hypocrisy of selective anger

That’s not always true (the first part). You guys are apt to lock a thread based on expected or perceived responses and have in the past locked threads rather than deleting offending posts and punishing the offenders. This is an OT post in an OT thread, so to say that I can’t post about a...

    The hypocrisy of selective anger

It seems the people who are most offended are those less willing to change in VERY minor, inconsequential ways. It’s not hard to stop saying retarded in public. heck, I used to say it around the house (everyone said it in the Navy), but my wife broke me of the habit for the sake of our kids...

    The hypocrisy of selective anger

Nothing about your post agreed with my take on this thread. Tactful and blunt (stating the obvious) are not mutually exclusive. ;)
