Most Ridiculous Item That Has WiFi

Fair enough. FWIW, I wouldn't spend $250 on a thermostat. I do have a Nest E, the cheaper model which I got for $80 NIB on eBay. I didn't think that was unreasonable. I don't mind paying for some technology. Furthermore, I always look at reviews and the number of stars. The product that has...

    Any Mazda 3 Owners Here?

I had a 2008 Mazda3i( base model) bought new for about 3 years till I crashed it. It was very well made(in Japan) and solid. I recall it was very maneuverable and sporty. I think Mazda is an underrated brand.

    Advice on Refinancing a Home

I‘m currently in an FHA, about to do a streamline refi to get a much better rate. Why do I have to pay for another title insurance policy there’s no change in ownership? I don’t know, but lenders have their reasons. Everything they require is for a reason. I wouldn’t sweat an appraisal. They...

10 years straight of total boredom

I went in to purchase a ruby red Fusion I saw online, but when I saw the metallic silver one parked next to it, I had to have it. I don't regret my decision.

    FIOS router

Sounds like you’ve got a modem/router combo, sometimes called a gateway. This is pretty standard equipment for internet and TV service.

    Getting paid online besides Paypal

Accounts have to be verified when they're associated with Venmo etc.. I use Venmo and PayPal. Never had an issue. I prefer Apple Pay at retailers. The merchant doesn't handle your physical card. Cash is king, but sometimes a paper trail is nice.

    Finance manager experience...

It's all an act. Let them huff and puff. Hold their feet to the fire. Next time get a loan before you go in. Dealers can legally 'charge' a small percentage above the interest rate the bank offers. That's how they make money off of financing.

    Swapping Jetta update...

As a glass half empty guy, he wasted several hours of his time, days anguishing about the paint blemish, $600 of cash and probably another hard pull on his credit report. Taking delivery of a car was never exciting to me. I always want to get in and out asap. I hate dealers and I don't like...

    2018 Dodge Journey

I just rented one last week. A 2020 Journey Crossroad. It was mediocre at best. The brakes could have been a bit stronger. I think it had the base 4 cylinder engine which wouldn't win any races and was quite noisy. Also, it only had a 4 speed trans. No standard tech features like lane...

Actually it was probably more. Those contracts get really hard to figure out in the heat of battle. Greg, did you pay sales tax on the new one?

    Swapping Jetta update...

You'll find a blemish on this one, too. I hope you don't have a minor fender bender. You'll have body repair with paint blending on a bran new car. Kudos to VW. It looks like they went above and beyond, especially for a customer who purchased an entry level, base model. Congrats I guess...
