Does anyone know the difference between CJ-4 and CJ-4 plus oil?

Any insight on the new Shell Rotella T6 5W-40 to replace the previous Rotella 5W-40 Synthetic? Is it just a packaging change? Shell's website does claim better soot control when compared to the previous 5W-40 product.

6,900 miles on the oil. Very happy with these results. The previous sample from July has about 5,000 miles towing a 31' 5th wheel.

Is there any difference in the oil in a new engine? Is there an additive package that the auto makers use to help break in the engine? Just wondering if it is beneficial to change the oil right away after purchasing a car/pick-up.
