    Shell Rotella® T6 Full Synthetic

Any insight on the new Shell Rotella T6 5W-40 to replace the previous Rotella 5W-40 Synthetic? Is it just a packaging change? Shell's website does claim better soot control when compared to the previous 5W-40 product.

    Schaeffer's 15W-40, 7.3L Powerstroke

6,900 miles on the oil. Very happy with these results. The previous sample from July has about 5,000 miles towing a 31' 5th wheel.

Hi everyone, This is the results from the first oil analysis done on a 2006 corvette. 6.0 litre, 4,300 miles on the factory oil and engine. The oil cap says Mobile 1 5W-30 so I am assuming this is what was in it when it came from the factory/dealership. But I didn't think moble 1 had moly in it...

    05 Duramax high copper UOA

Here is the UOA results on a '05 Duramax. The truck belongs to a close friend of mine and he just switched over to Schaeffer's 15W-40 series 7000 after taking the sample for this UOA. This UOA is not from Schaeffer oil but whatever brand the chevy dealer used when he took it in (I know - first...

new cars/pick-ups & break in oil

Is there any difference in the oil in a new engine? Is there an additive package that the auto makers use to help break in the engine? Just wondering if it is beneficial to change the oil right away after purchasing a car/pick-up.
