Can I mix oil viscosity and brand?

My biggest concern about thinner oils in a smaller engine, is that consumption could go up. I don't think it matters to the engine otherwise.

2020 F350 6.7l diesel- oil change at dealer gone wrong

I always thought that'd I'd avoid problems with oil changes by having my long-time mechanic do them... until he stripped out the plug on the oil pan... The last set of new tires I had put on the '04 at Blain's Farm and Fleet, I complained that they didn't put on new valve stems. Instead of...

    Oil Pan Quality

I put a Spectra on my Silverado a few months ago. Cast aluminum. No issues at all. Used a FelPro gasket as well. I also bought a no-name pan (YHTAuto) from Amazon. In comparing it to the Spectra, it was so different (and not in a good way) that using the Spectra was an easy choice.

Speculate what happened to this trailer ramp door (salvage)?

Can't explain that. Third times the charm? LOL. The Buy it Now price might seem reasonable when compared to the price of a new comparable 2024 model.

Speculate what happened to this trailer ramp door (salvage)?

The whole Emkay thing makes me wonder if it wasn't in some sort of a fleet, and it was simply damaged to the point that they're not going to deal with all of the time and trouble involved with fixing it.... since it isn't as easy as dropping it off at a body shop for repairs. Much simpler to...

What is the single best vehicle to buy if you're a tightwad?

I guess it wasn't mentioned if the vehicle was to be new or used: Used - A minivan. Nothing beats a used minivan. They're reasonably good on gas, not too difficult to park, they can do it all, and won't break the bank to either buy or maintain, and insurance should be reasonable. Here's a...

Do old filters expire or go bad?

If you really want to know for sure... cut one open. Since they're free, I'd sacrifice one for the peace of mind. Then you'll be able to tell if the filter media has gotten brittle, or if there's excess dried out glue inside that could possibly break away.

Goodyear Assurance ComfortDrive vs Continental PureContact LS

I had three sets of the predecessor to the Goodyear ComfortDrive (which was called the ComfortTred). I was happy enough with them to buy three sets. I'd never bought three sets of anything before (or since). They had a nice ride, good treadwear, and were plenty tolerant of neglect (not being...

Rental Review - 2024 Jeep Wagoneer Series II - 3.0 liter Twin Turbo w/ 420 hp.

Well, after a long day yesterday, I turned it back in at the airport after 24 hours and 2 minutes in my posession. My biggest complaint was the seats. I noticed fairly early on that they were pinching my hips, and as the miles piled up... it didn't get any better. I'm 6 foot 2 and 210...
