    AI-11P Lubricant

Hyundai calls for AI-11P rated lubricant for the brake caliper pins but I can't locate a lubricant that has this spec. Any recommendations for where this can be purchased? I normally use Napa Syl-Glyde for the pins on my other cars. Thanks.

How long before a filter goes to bypass?

I was speaking with an owner from a oil change shop who stated that most oil filters start to bypass at approx. 4,000 miles due to clogged filter media. I understand that he has an obvious bias and his statement was a broad generalization when in fact, there are many variables that come in to...

Since I've got over 60,000 miles on an RSX, the mechanic suggested I use 5W30 instead of the recommended 5W20. Any thoughts on this? Thanks.

    synthetic to regular oil

In the summer I run synthetic oil in my bike. In the fall, I change the oil to get rid of the acidic combustion byproducts in the crankcase. During the winter, I ride very occasionally and start the bike every week or so. I change the oil in the spring in case of crankcase condensation. I don't...

    M1 in a Kubota BX2350?

My BX calls for 10W30 or 10W40. Kubota will not take a stance on whether synthetic is beneficial or detrimental to their engines. I contacted their service dept. at head office and they stated that "they have not done studies and therefore cannot recommend synthetic oil." They further noted that...
