Decided to Try a Tank of Premium...YIKES!

All those who believe there is no difference in burn rates of various octanes, Google "Gasoline Octane Facts", go to the first web site, read it, and get back to us on what you learned. GSD

Decided to Try a Tank of Premium...YIKES!

The higher the octane, the slower the fuel burns. Requires different compression ratios, spark advance curves, fuel flow maps, etc. OEM's design engines and computers for a certain octane. Stick with what they tell you. GSD

engine warm up between two oils?

If you increased the internal engine friction enough to cause it to heat up faster, and yes that's very possible, you should also notice a decrease in gas milage. GSD

    Oil filter interval

Think Honda will be willing to sell you a new car when the old one quits? During the last 56 years in various maintenance businesses, I've made a lot of money from folks who don't change filters. In the 29 years I've been in the HVAC business, I've seen a lot of washable "lifetime" "electrostatic" etc. filters come and go. My experience has been that they filter fairly well, because they are so thick, but this also causes them to be airflow restrictive. Which equates to making your unit...

    Best Transmission Filter?

Some 99's had shallow pans, some had deep pans. Mine had a deep pan, and I liked the fit of the OEM filter better than the one after market that I tried. Can't remember what brand it was. Be sure to get the correct filter for the pan you have. GSD
