Nice to see some new life to this thread. I think that Toyota/Lexus models will likely be using this engine for at least a few more years across their product line, so it would be beneficial to identify some good oil alternatives to what the US owner's manual recommends. @SimpleSyrup: spot on...

Sorry Pablo, and with all due respect, but in my experience using this oil in my 6.4 Hemi it sheered a A LOT in only 3,500 miles. It went from 14.8 cst @ 100*C (VOI) to 11.76 (my own UOA). I do work the engine hard (severe duty, IMO) but I expected this oil to perform much better than it did...
