    10 cents a bag.

This has been a tough one for me to remember even though I go shopping at Target, Walmart or grocery stores at least a couple times a week. I get my basket of stuff up to the register to pay and the cashier asks if I would like to purchase plastic bags to carry all my items in, ugh. No, not...

    Thick A-Pillars.

For the most part, I really like my 2015 Mazda3 sedan. But...BIG BUT, I hate the thick windshield pillars. The thick A-pillars hide entire minivans to the left and right at four way stop signs. They make it very difficult to maneuver through tight spots, and negotiate some road medians when...

    AC vs. Evaporative Cooler.

I live in a desert climate in Southern California. My house currently has a central AC unit that is about 18 years old and not very effective at cooling anymore. An AC tech said I should seriously consider just buying a new unit. I am thinking of going with a new AC system, or a central...

    The Forevermark.

I find it interesting that the diamond industry chose a "broken" diamond design to represent "forever." The four points of the diamond mark have gaps, so it is not continuous, or forever. There is a pause, four of them actually, in the flow of the shape. Wedding and engagement rings represent...

    Pirelli Cinturato Strada

Looks like Discount Tire is getting, or has had, their own exclusive version of the Cinturato P7 Plus. Renamed the Cinturato Strada, it has a similar tread pattern and mileage warranty as the P7 Plus. Limited sizes are listed so far for the Strada. The confusing thing to me is that the reviews...

    My Windows 7 not genuine?

I had Windows 7 installed on my home desktop computer about five years ago. It was installed by an IT guy from work, and I never had any issues with the program until recently. About two months ago I started getting messages from Microsoft, everyday, wanting me to upgrade to Windows 10 for...

    Board Games.

What would be the best board games to have fun with at a home BBQ while sipping session beers, and chowing down on BBQ food. I was recommended Balderdash, and Charades for their fun and creative playing styles. They do look like great suggestions that would keep my guests laughing and having a...

    Beer: Bottles or cans?

Going to a party and I know the party girl has been wanting to try Firestone Walker 805 ale. So I go to pick some up, and it is available in bottles or cans. I have to pause and think as if I was considering two different types of beer. Then it dawns on me that other craft beers from various...

    The original hybrid automobile?

I was at a company in Temecula,CA. today called Infineon (used to be International Rectifier Co. up until a few weeks ago). They have this interesting solar powered car on display in their lobby area. I could not get much information on it because it's Saturday and no employees around, only...

Stock Photo instead of actual pictures.

I am helping a co-worker search for a brand new car. The co-worker narrowed it down to a Mazda or a Subaru SUV. We go online to the local dealerships, and Autotrader. The majority of the inventory pictures are "stock photo." Not a real photograph, just a drawing/silhouette of a car. Last year...

    Snow Valley.

The wife and I took ski lessons on Monday January 11. No crowds, a lot of snow from several days of heavy snow fall, and the roads were clear of ice. The lessons were great, the lift lines short, the food at the lodge decent, and the two beginner hills were a blast. Love this sport, a lot.

    Mouse traps, whats best?

We have been in our new home for just over a month now. I just heard noises in the attic two nights ago, for the first time. I heard the little foot steps again tonight. I grabbed the ladder and peeked into the attic, and I seen traces of mice or rats droppings. I have never dealt with rodents...

    Twighlight Zone Marathon

I just tuned into the SyFy channel and it looks like their running all 156 episodes ever made back-to-back. Pretty cool seeing the originals again, cool memories.

    Hot chocolate

I got some really good hot chocolate powder mix for Christmas. My wife and I had been looking for good hot chocolate mix after trying the typical Hershey's, Nestle's, Swiss Miss, and store brands and finding them all to have weird off tastes. We both like Starbucks hot chocolate okay, but...

    2016 Lexus NX200t

My wife picked up a new 2016 NX200t about two months ago. Before my wife decided on the NX200t, we shopped around and test drove the Ford Escape, Ford Edge, Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V, Jeep Cherokee, BMW X1, Mercedes Benz GLA250, and the Mazda CX5. I really wanted the CX5 and I tried to sway here...

    Oceanside Pier night and day.

I spent some time on the roof top of an adjacent hotel, so I was able to get two time frames. And, here is an even better view of the Top Gun house. Sorry for another Pier thread, but I finally figured out the photo posting thing, again.

    Oceanside Pier

[img=http://s18.postimg.org/odtwm4iut/IMG_3773.jpg] I took this photo of the Oceanside Pier when I was atop a hotel. The little yellow house on the bottom left is the house from the Top Gun movie.

    Timeshares.

A few weeks ago I was at a shopping mall, and there was a promotion booth set up for a timeshare company. Not knowing anything about timeshares I went over to inquire about it. After a few minutes of listening to the sales pitch, the concept did not sound good to me. I asked several questions...

    Best AV protection for PC?

Hello, I am not computer savvy at all, so please help me pick the best product. I want to purchase an antivirus program for my PC to protect it from malware, viruses, phishing, ransom virus, trojans and any other malicious threats online. I do not know all the tech specs on my system, all I...

    Shoplifting.

I interviewed for a part-time loss prevention agent position at a department store. It will be an undercover type job where I would dress as a typical customer and catch people shoplifting. During the interview the LP manager told me that theft is a very big problem in her store. So, after the...
