Would it be a problem { advantage ?} to keep my AutoRX in for 2k,or even 3k?

I'm just wondering... I've got 1400 + miles on a second treatment of ARX & am getting ready to change the oil { the ole rinse cycle } next week as per Frank's instructions. Now if 1500 miles are far better then the 750, would leaving the ARX treated oil in for 2k or even 3 k miles be a good idea...

Did you ever screw up a simple oil/filter change ?

Everyone makes mistakes ! I've seen good mechanics pour new oil in the crankcase before screwing the drain plug back in only to have 2 quarts on the floor before noticing it when I worked @ a dealership. But I got to tell you what I did once, a kinda Bonehead thing. I seem to remember I was...

Do you lube your body bushings ?

I read somewhere that body bushings should be spritzed with silicone spray from time to time to help them last, prevent cracking, squeaks ect.... I did it just couple weeks ago & it seems quieter Is this a good idea, does it help them last ? [ October 23, 2003, 03:43 PM: Message edited by...

Do most folk change thier oil filter every oil change ?

If one uses a premium filter like a Mobil 1 or equivelent & does 3k mile changes , is it OK to use the same filter for a couple changes..? Many people myself included have a hard time shelling out $ 12 bucks for an oil filter but if it stays on through 2 changes then it's not more expensive then...

I'm about 1800 miles into my rinse cycle & I plan on cutting my filter & posting the results after I change the oil again in about 1000 more. But back to my question.... Brake fluid flush, is this something that should be done ?

A friend of mine mentioned the brake fluid should be flushed & changed every 5 years or 50k miles or so, is this true ? His opinion is contamination or moisture gets in there & could create problems. Whats the line of thinking on this one Thanks, Alan
