Am I overthinking getting my new tires balanced properly?

Had it done this morning. I had them write down the road force values, and I ended up with 24 and 25 on the back tires. Life is too short to demand that they redo it unless some vibration ends up bugging me. I had Continental TerrainContact H/Ts installed, so it seems mine would be slightly out...

    Which numbers did you request?

Am I overthinking getting my new tires balanced properly?

I made an appointment with Discount Tire. What values do I want for road force and runout? I would assume I care about radial runout and not lateral, right? I just want to be able to refuse the tires in case they're really out of spec.

Am I overthinking getting my new tires balanced properly?

I'm going to buy new tires at Tire Rack soon, and have them installed at a Discount Tire location with the Hunter RF Balancer. Is there are particular value that I want to see for road force and radial runout? Vehicle is a 2015 Tacoma with 265/70/16 tires. Is it unreasonable to expect a tired...

Did piston soak, worried about hydrolocking engine

A week ago I added 3-4 oz of B12 to each cylinder head (Toyota 4.0 V6, 160k miles). I cranked the engine over a few times each day, and let it sit for a week. After a week the boroscope showed it was mostly gone, even though I still smell it when I crank it today. Last night I added 1 ounce of...

Oil changing questions I should have known by now but don't

I've done probably a dozen oil changes now across 4 or 5 different vehicles, and there are some questions about things I could be doing better. 1. How do you guys figure out how much oil your car is burning? The only time I've taken the time to estimate it, I've slowly added oil right before an...

    Help choosing oil viscosities

Sorry for any confusion. I have reason to believe the Toyota does NOT burn oil, until I see otherwise. Acura consumes 2qt/3k currently with M1 EP HM 5W-20, and that engine has a history of ring sludge problems (probably due to transmission tuning changes shortly before and the engines being...

    Help choosing oil viscosities

I think it's the 4.0 V6 1GR-FE. It doesn't burn oil or have any problems as far as I can tell.

    Help choosing oil viscosities

Apologies if my post is too simplistic or rehashes too much that shouldn't be discussed yet again. I've read hundreds of threads on these forums over the past few week and I might be more confused than when I started. I have the following 2 engines that I want to maintain: 1. 2011 Acura MDX V6...
