It's strange, I grew up changing oil on a1961 chevrolet and I don't remember it even having a washer. It was just a bolt and never had a problem.

I've tried the vanilla and strawberry and both were very good.

No expert, but I don't think .001" will make any difference.

On a different trimmer, I use WD40 to clean, and spray it on the blades every 15-20 minutes of use to lube. WD40 is not a long term lube.

As long as the holes are not too big, I keep using them no matter how much paint or oil stained they are.

I've had that happen several years back with a bottle of Mobil 2 cycle oil.

I've had the same thing happen with a number of tools of various brands.

The oem Toyota batteries are usually pretty good from my experience. It's worth checking with the dealer.

The Briggs manuals recommend straight 30 weight for their older engines, but it is getting harder to find. I have looked at Supertech, Rotella, or even just using 10w-30. What do you use or recommend in this case?
