It's not Aesthetically pleasing to have glue on end plates but many do, engine oil doesn't get hot enough to melt away. At end if day, the same glue is holding your filter element to end plate and that doesn't disappear and oil flows around that, so it's absolutely nothing to worry about.

My Purolator 20K held up real well, pleats were beautiful, filter was in for my 4th oil Change on Valvoline Restore and Protect. Looked lot better than the Fram Ultra I pulled out last oil change. 8400 on oil change.

I still have the original Castrol CVT fluid, i bought many quarts on closeout. But since do serval drain and fills every 30,000 i be curious when someone replys back to you. Because eventually run out.

Thats why i buy them for my Nissan Rogue Sport they seal the best for my air box. I also like Purolator One's but they cost 40% more. I went 32000 miles on this Ultra but may have pushed it to hard, mileage noticeable started to suffer.

I used Fram Ultra for one reason only, seams to seal the best for my Nissan Rogue Sport. I may want to rethink going 32,000 miles on it. It was pretty packed up and I knew my mileage took a noticeable hit. I hear the purolator one air filters are very good for efficiency.

I watch them all, can't judge a book by it's cover. Unless it's a engineer from the manufacture, it's all conjecture and theories and opinions from everyone and thats ok. Some people have good opinions but rarely facts from advanced testing that meets the same specs as the manufacturers.
