Universal ATF/CVT fluid in my 2019 Nissan Pathfinder

Not sure I buy that, but i suppose they would know best. I looked at the product data sheet and everything is exactly the same between cvt version and the atf/cvt. But perhaps the changed some chemical in the add pack that i'm not aware of..

Universal ATF/CVT fluid in my 2019 Nissan Pathfinder

I would have no issue using catrols universal fluid either the cvt or the atf/cvt that has replaced the later, appears to be exact formilation. You can compare both to Nissan NS-3 fluid specs.

    164,000 miles new brake job.

We don't get a lot of snow in this part of Ohio, last year was the worst with 84 inches, we do get lots of ice rain, they don't salt the roads that much. Where I originally came from was Northern Michigan were they had 222 inches of snow in my town last year..They use lots of road salt there...

    164,000 miles new brake job.

Finally had to put brakes and rotors on the back, lasted 163,000 miles and the front were done a week later with new rotors and pads, would have done them at the same time, but it was a money/timing issue. I new my pads were close, but one day I went to drive car and the grinding noise in the...

150,000 miles change Timing Belt/Water Pump

It felt like a ticking tomb bomb driving my 2010 Chrysler 300 without servicing it on schedule. I was praying mopar parts would hold up. I had the mechanic save me the water pump and belt, they look brand new after 150,000 miles. The whole job cost me $780.00 dollars. They change the tensioner...

    filter for oci of 4-5k

If you have a federated auto parts store, get there house filter, it's good and made by the same manufacture that makes Hastings filter. They should cost around $2.00. I have some pics on here of a federated filter and they are very solid filters with lots of pleats.

Even if pleat was slightly tore, It's doubtful it would effect engine since it's only one pleat out of 60 plus that are in good shape. I can imagine from time to time many filters have something defective in them.

Do you think Napa Silver oil filters can last 10k?

For a couple more dollars or less just get the Napa Gold it will easily last 10,000..I used them and tore them apart many times with no issues to filter. I use and am currently using P1 filter and as many as I tore apart never seen any damage, [censored] the pleats weren't even wavy, but that is...
