For what its worth, My 06 Milan 177,000 miles presently was using over a quart between 5000 oil change intervals. I switched to Valvoline 5w20 high mileage synthetic blend around 140,000 miles. The usage issue did not go away immediately but got better. I have not added any oil for the last 3...
SENDEC. All battery operated meters will die at some time. SENDEC has always replaced mine free of charge. I have more than 20 on various engines and record the hours 3 or 4 times a year so I know what the hours were close to if one dies. JMOH.
Have not heard of these problems. My Milan has 177,000 miles and the Escape has 179,000 miles without any oil related problems. Both have been fitted with MC 820 and 820s filters since new. What gives?

Any evidence to back this up or is this just a bash on GM?
Add a double dose of Seafoam to you're 2 cycle mix and let it run the tank dry. May or may not work but it is the cheapest alternative and I have personaly seen this work.
