I thought the FL-910S was the shining beacon of quality in the entire Motorcraft filter lineup??? Every thread I've ever opened about the 910 seems that it is about the best quality out of every other MC filter.
I use that same model of Baldwin on my 1996 CTD and it works perfectly. I've cut one open and it looked just like this. I think either one of these filters are outstanding quality for these engines. I will assume that the price point on the Baldwin was more affordable though.

Any on shelf brand with the "European Car Formula" labeling should make the engine happy and won't notice any difference. There was a real sweet deal on PZ Euro car formula recently, but I always keep an eye on the "Product Rebates, Sales, and Promotions" for the best deals.
Vacuum the loose stuff off, rinse it, and then take a scrub brush and lather it up with just a regular bar of soap, and then scrub that mat. Hose it off after and let it dry. Just plain old fashion soap will get that mat cleaner than ANY other product.
