The job should be done at machine shop, they wash in a tank but the guy told me that I have to clean oil and water ducts again with a solvent.
My question is what kind of solvent to use?
I'm so sorry for my English!
I have to rebore the cylinders from 88.5 to 89 mm to mount new Woessner forged pistons.
After that it's necessary to eliminate all the processing residues from water and oil ducts.
I hope now is more clear...
Hi everybody!
I'm going to grind the crankcase of my engine, a Mercedes C124 3 liter 24v supercharged
After the job I have to wash the internal holes, what kind of products are necessary and how to do it?
I greatly appreciate any advice.
Thank You for the answers,
Originally the engine was normally aspirated with 220hp,
I've installed last year a supercharger increasing considerably the power.
I think 10w40 is no longer sufficient for the new working conditions as higher temperature, more mechanical stress etc.
