    Calling Mazda 2.5L Owners

I too am against ‘lifetime fluid’ and would like to have mine changed in the future. The 2020 is a sealed transmission so to DIY I would need to pump it into the transmission somehow (Did that on my 08 Mustang) or pay Mazda to do it.

Yes is the NA 2.5.I’ve heard extremes of up to 1 quart of oil burned in between changes, but others stating no oil burned.

If you bought two I am hoping that you were pleased with their quality? I will be checking the stick often I heard they can drink a little oil.

    Calling Mazda 2.5L Owners

Hello everyone I recently purchased a 2020 Mazda 6 and have done some research regarding the oil and filters to use. From what I’ve read it sounds using the Mazda filter is recommended and because it’s a DI engine(haven’t owned one before) oil change intervals and the type of oil used is...

    NextGen Maxlife Color

That's a good point on the condensation. It was stored in a climate controlled basement and is probably 5yr old.

All the bottles were like that so I did 2 next gen and 3 peak. We'll see

Doing a 5w30 OC on the mustang and noticed milky coloration of the oil. Compared to peak 5w30 in another bottle. Should be okay?

    2010 Mazda 3 FL400s options

I stepped away from the forums for a few years and upon my return the once "amazing" puralator and motorcraft filters are now trash and Fram seems to be often recommended. I've been using the larger than spec FL400s on the 2.0 Mazda, but now our local Walmart doesn't carry this filter. I need to...

    2008 Mustang V6 ATF

MERCON V Is the spec and yes they are a pain to service. My concern was that many of the fluids I see specify LV and not V and a quick google search tells me not to mix them. Some people have private messaged Valvoline and we're told it would be okay, but why isn't it listed on the bottle? Just...

    2008 Mustang V6 ATF

I have used Amsoil previously, but I am looking to use something I can pickup at the store without issue. I've used Castrol import in the wife's Mazda and can't decide between Castrol or MaxLife. The car is at 135,000 and is driven mostly highway/stop and go traffic on the return from work. I...

Transmission fluid change gone wrong!! Help

Yes I hooked up the sensor and made sure the o ring is in place. I read the manual and it states that the AT light is from an "electrical problem" in the transmission. I disconnected the battery and hooked it back up and it's still messed up it thumps from park to reverse.

Transmission fluid change gone wrong!! Help

There are no trains cooler lines on the car. I'm glad you don't think it's the fluid because I thought I screwed it up

Transmission fluid change gone wrong!! Help

It is non skyactive so we are good there. I'm glad you guys are leaning towards an internal blockage and not a damaged transmission. Now I have to debate sinking money and time into doing it myself or have it brought somewhere to be looked at by a professional.

Transmission fluid change gone wrong!! Help

No ground strap. 15 bolts or so and that's all. There is a piece that connects to the filter and that was put in place upon installation. I'm just surprised as the dramatic difference from changing the fluid. I could understand slight slipping since I read that's a possibility with an older...
