    Proper winter storage of car battery

    I would bring it inside if you can. Don't worry about gassing. It's taking such a small charge when being float charged that it isn't an issue. And even during regular charging, unless you're charging it in a very small enclosed space with no air circulation, I wouldn't worry about it.

    Bad Thermostat?

    Yes, use a hose to flush it in both directions. Water pressure will work much better than air to remove gunk. To get it really clean, you'll have to use a chemical flush.

    I've used fuel line in place of coolant hoses. This was 5/16" size. It's held up fine for a couple years now.
