It is probably premature, but after having the Maxlife ATF in the Honda since Friday night, I have (thankfully) not had any drips on the driveway. Wishful thinking I am sure...but normally there are drops within minutes of shutting the motor down.
Drain bolt was not leaking. It is coming from one of the transmission seals. Sadly the only was to replace the filter is to disassemble the unit. I do not understand the thought behind that design.
That's what i was thinking, but since ive changed the fluid in the past, am hoping the maxlife ATF helps reduce the leak.
ANyone tried the Maxlife atf stop leak?
My 2006 Honda Accord with just under 100k miles has started leaking transmission fluid. I did a complete drain fill drain fill routine on it at 50k and a single flush at around 80K. Noticed tranny fluid drops on my driveway the other night and decided to do a drain fill routine on it tonight. I...
In case any are wondering, this is the first time using Mobil 1 ESP 5w30. I hope it is good or better than the Pentosin Super Perf I have been running...
Greetings!
I changed the oil in my 2010 VW Jetta TDI today and some grains of dirt that was on the oil cap seal got into the filler tube.
Will the oil filter get this or do I need to worry?
Thank you
The Kobalt screwdrivers I purchased approximately 10 years ago feel really nice and are marked made in USA. The set I received for Christmas a few years back are not made in the USA and appear to be of much cheaper composition.
I ran LubroMoly Top Tec 4200 for the first 30K. Since then I have been running Pentosin SuperPerformance III / 507 spec oil. I changed my air filter at 18K and 40K. I will look to test the glow plugs, thank you for that advice.
Greetings!
I have a 2010 Jetta TDI with 48K on the odometer. About a month ago, when I would cold start in the AM it would idle rough, then smooth out once I begin driving. I read on another forum that the intercooler pipes and core on this model are known to retain moisture which mixes with...
I will flush it out tonight. Another thought I had was that maybe the old fluid and associated 'junk' or moisture was in the ABS system and is not circulating with the new fluid??
Also, I sucked out the dirty fluid last night, so hopefully that will minimize the amount of crud that will...
Greetings! Last weekend my father in law and I replaced the front brakes on my 2006 Honda Accord, we had a glass jar with brake fluid and a tad of PS fluid (my inlaw said it would be ok. He claims that the system didnt suck any of the dirty fluid back in... Prior to using a turkey baster to...
