Yes, because of the ridiculous promotions where the code is printed on the underside of the cap. PP is the worst around here for opened containers. Pennzoil needs to come up with a better method of rebates or fuel savings...

GreeCguy or Grease-E-Guy as it were, you have now been added to my watched users. We need some yin and yang here on BITOG and you are providing it. You keep writing it, I’m gonna keep reading it.
Thank You!

With such a helpful, profound statement, I’m sure you will be following up with the empirical data to back-up your proclamation.

I vote for this as well. I have used basic Federated (made by Hastings) oil filters for years with PP or M1 without issue or...

^^^ This is funny (and true)!
ROTFLMAO
Time to go for the decaf folks. It's an oil filter right? No need to make any of this personal.
To the OP, thank you for taking the time to provide the photo's and info.
So you found motor oil and transmission fluid in the shed, neither of which you recall how they arrived there. I'm staying out of the advice section to suggest what you should do with those, I'm impressed that you are seeking good uses for both, but what I really want to know is:
What the heck...

Use any one with confidence.

The AFE and the EP are exactly the same price, hence the question. Seems like the EP is getting more votes.
Thanks for...
M1 AFE 0w-20
M1 EP 0w-20
PP 0w-20
With the price being the same for these, is there any consensus of the BITOG brethren as to which is the better bang for the buck? I have used mostly the PP 5w-20 in the past without issue and one or two changes with regular M1 5w-20 but with the oil change due...
Mobil application for a 2007 Honda Pilot returns:
Based on what you've told us, your vehicle manufacturer recommends a 5W-20 viscosity. A 0W-20 viscosity can also be used. We offer these motor oils to help protect your vehicle. Results are displayed from highest to lowest level of protection...
Until Pennzoil stops running these promotions with the codes printed on the underside of the caps, I'm boycotting them and using a different brand. Went to get 2 jugs of PP yesterday. Store only had 2 jugs on the shelf and one of the caps was already opened. No thanks.
I've had very good...
I've owned several white block engines--but what does that have to do with anything either? The oil never gets up to operating temps in this car. The low-boost 2.4's do not have particularly high oil temperatures, either. There's no reason to us an A3-rated oil in this application. So, but...
