With so many synthetic oils available for less than $25 a jug I'm surprised anyone would use conventional oil anymore. You really don't save that much at all.

That's the one great thing about Canadian Tire up here, we've always had a good supply of both Ultra Platinum and M1 ESP in the 5qt jugs, and they go on sale quite often too (you'd have to be crazy to buy oil there at full price!) It's just too bad they don't sell Quaker State Ultimate...

One of the reasons why I love Meguiar's Ultimate Fast Finish is because it's the most hydrophobic product I've ever used. I've never had a ceramic coating but this stuff seems to be almost as close as you can get in a regular sealant. Unfortunately they discontinued this product a few years ago...

One of the reasons why I think my Corvette is going to last a long time is because I never just take it out for short drives. When I start it up, it usually gets driven for a good hour minimum, often times I'll take it out for a few hundred miles.

You can believe what you want but 3k oil changes definitely won't double your engine life compared to 6k oil changes on pretty much any engine built in modern times.

If you're looking for a more cost effective 0w20 it's hard to beat Kirkland/Supertech for around $19-20 a jug, or for a few bucks more, Quaker State Ultimate Protection at just under $24. At the end of the day though, if you suspect fuel dilution to be an issue, you should be getting an oil...

That's how I feel about Supertech/Kirkland oil, it is better than some of the more expensive name brand oils (namely it's better than some of the more basic entry level synthetics from Mobil, Pennzoil, Castrol, etc.)

M1 used to be sold in 5L jugs but a few years ago they switched it to 5 qts instead. Pennzoil and Castrol still sell it in 5L jugs here though.
