Finally scratched my watch itch this morning

True, but it is easier to sneak a peek at the time from a watch on one's wrist than by checking one's cell phone. ;)

Do you have a dream car today, on 12/4/23?

That's on the shortlist I have if I needed to replace a car *today* As for dream car, I wouldn't say the Cobalt SS in my signature was a dream, but it was a lucky find that could fill that role.

    Where do you grocery shop?

One place I worked I had a coworker who would walk out of the serving area of the cafeteria on clam chowder day with almost 2 bowls of soup in one bowl. He had a system where he'd prop up crackers around the bowl to hold the stuff that went above the rim of the bowl, kind of like the walls on a...

What are you doing right now?

I remember doing that on my old S-15 Jimmy. :D Interestingly enough, I can come close on the Dakota - with the truck off, turn the key to "on" (not start), off, "on" again, then off again, then "on" and leave it. The odometer will start putting out any stored OBDII codes. Not sure if it...

Do You Round Up At The Restaurant

Tip, yes. Round up - no. I will donate to charities that I choose. If it's that important to the restaurant, they can donate their own money.

    E-ZPass transponders

That and they claim the stickers are cheaper. I had to talk to one of their reps a couple of years ago due to an unrelated problem with my account and the rep noticed that I only had 2 transponders even though I had 4 vehicles tied to the account. She tried very hard to convince me to get two...

    SQUIRREL Double back Fiasco

When my sister was still learning to drive I was in the car with her and a robin landed in front of the car - on a 2-lane rural road with drainage ditches on both sides. She swerves to miss the thing and justifies it by saying that she didn't want to kill the bird. Fortunately she stayed on...

    Laundry detergent and product tampering?

I would guess seawater-flavored. Possibly with a hint of fish.

Did we reach peak frugality 15 years ago?

The guy who repaired our dryer a couple of weeks ago said the same thing and and takes it a step further; his greeting on his voice mail says that he only works on older appliances and if you're calling about Samsung or LG, he doesn't deal with them no matter what the age.

    Post your coffee cup

Old photo but I still use the mug. Never worked for them and I don't remember how I received it.
