I did a VOA and it measured 13.73. The main objective was to se the vis and th TBN, to make sure I am comfortable with extended OCi in the future.

    Extended Oci

By those metrics, My bike will fit the criteria quite well. I just filled with my last qts. of Brad Penn. By spec, it should be extendable as well. I will give that whirl at 10k first. I don't see my $280.00 a year insurance as over priced. I do find all flavors of MC oil priced over the top...

    Extended Oci

I suppose it's possible that the "silent majority" of extended OCI users don't post on oil forums. In the Harley world, 10k changes look very doable with Amsoil. I wonder though in the Honda world with 8k factory intervals how many are willing to go 16k between changes. At 66k on my Harley 103...

    Extended Oci

Anyone taking full advantage of Amsoil's extended OCI's? Anyone pushing other than Amsoil into the double your mileage arean that Amsoil promotes?

Harley Road King VR1 3000 miles

Run it 5,000 miles between changes. It will hold up just fine.

High cost top shelf motorcycle oils (mixing)

If each oil being mixed is good enough on it's own. Mixing isn't going to ruin the batch. At least you got rid of the last bottle of Amsoil on hand. Don't buy anymore, it's a waste of money

Amsoil- I got my arm twisted into trying it

Amsoil isn't immune for shearing out of grade in shared sumps. Vi improver discussions are pretty much a ghost argument.

    needs some info

Buying that first bike can be a shot in the dark. It won't end with the bikes purchase. Accessories, Boots, Helmets, Gloves. Then once you get some time in the seat, you may or may not have picked the right bike for the riding you like the most. You don't know what you like the most until you...
