    Solstice observations

It is about 20F here now. Thought I would throw in a pic I took about a month ago when the moon was setting just after midnight. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2048/2043270599_aa16733d0b.jpg?v=0 The picture took about 12 minutes to take. That is why the stars are moving.

    tecumseh versus Briggs & Stratton

Carb. problems can happen to ANY small engine. The problem is the gas you have bought or have had sitting for a year and the conditions where the gas has been. Not many Briggs snow engines out, Tecumseh has pretty much had the market for years. With Tecumseh going bankrupt and having to sell...

Briggs & Stratton better than Honda

Really it has some to do with luck! I have some people that will kill their machine in 5 years, others will have it for 20+ years. Some people will have problems with gas varnishing and others wont. It is really hard to tell. The major thing with a mower, for example, is the rest of the...

Briggs & Stratton better than Honda

The GC series engine is made here in the US North Carolina. Around 2 million a year are made there.

Briggs & Stratton better than Honda

Honda does have engines on Crapsman units, so that doesnt always apply. I would just say Honda and Kawi. are smarter. Instead of making an engine to the manufacture spec. Honda and Kawi. make an engine and say "Here it is, if you want it then build around it" They are generally on better...

Briggs & Stratton better than Honda

Another thing that was interesting in this meeting that some of you may be interested in. We had to sit through a video presentation and a speaker talk about how it was "ok" for them to make engines in China. They were trying hard to make it look like a good deal for everyone. I just wonder...

Briggs & Stratton better than Honda

Funny topic! I can rebuild a Honda OHV/OHC just as fast as I can a OHV/flathead Briggs. Difference is that you talked to an old man that has worked on the briggs for years and is new to the Hondas. For the guys that say Briggs will last just as long as the Hondas, Hate to break it to you but...

Toro R Tek (Duraforce) vs Suzuki Snowblower Quest

That "Lawnboy" engine is now made by Briggs. I would have to say that the Suzuki is more powerful than the "Lawnboy" engine. Toro does not sell one with the Suzuki anymore though.

    Gas vs Electric stoves

I did not read the other post but I have used them both and I have family with both in their kitchen. If it were up to me I would want the gas range with an electric oven! With a gas range you have instant heat or not, it is very easy to control! The electric oven cooks faster and more even...

    Urgent- Amplifier/Mixer Help

It looks like the mixer is a mono channel. Hmmm Looks really funky to me! Looks like a Coax cable out on the mixer? I would say play around with all options! My idea would be to talk over the bad narration or to mute the sound. Those plugins are too old for me. hahaa sorry

    Physics Presentation

I have a physics presentation that I have to make at school in a week. I work on small engines and had thought about doing it on the internal combustion engine. I also thought about doing it on oil, I am a little rusty on oil logic since I have had other things going on in my life. I got old...

    Recommend 4 stroke trimmer

15-40 is a bit thick for that trimmer! How that engine moves oil around you dont want to use that thick of oil.
