Moving to Yuma Az with temps in the 110 range. I have a 2012 4 cyl Camry and a 2019 Honda Odyssey van with a V6. Do I need to go any higher weight oils then the factory specs for them in this area ?
If its been setting that long I can practically guarantee you that the crank seals are bad, you can tell if it starts cold Ok but wont restart when its hot or it wont start at all. I ran a quality synthetic injector oil in mine. Less smoke and longer plug life, carry a spare plug anyway
Wondering if I can use 5w/20 Penzoil Ultra instead of 0w/20 without problems in my 17 Silverado 5.3. Ive read that the 5w/20 has better Nowack specs which would help in deposits on valves. Is this worth doing or am I over thinking this. Appreciate the help

Wondering if the factory oil fill is conventional. semi synthetic or synthetic ? Think Im going to change the OEM filter at 500 miles and add 1 qt of oil
I have an 06 Tacoma 4 cyl 5 speed with 31000 miles on it. Do I need to change the gear lube in it ? Changed to synthetic in the rear end at 15,000 miles. If I do what do you think of GL4 redline synthetic ? Thanks for the help
Glasgow has that barbed wire fence to break the wind coming from Canada. Dealer even said to go with a 1 year oil change but they sell cars. id rather take the advice of you guys on here. Thank you
Forgot to add, vehicle is in Montana with very cold winter temps is why I do the 6 month oil changes, April & November. Do I need to still do this ? Thanks for the advice
