I do. Will see if it can snake around the bend to peer inside. Shooting for Monday to do the work as the fender liners, bumper cover and fenders have to come off to access the radiator. What a way to spend on my day off from work.
Yes, they're squishy :)
I'm going to. The Nissens, the fins are just a tiny bit thicker. The Mahle Behr were folding under light finger pressure.
Again, I don't know how they're keeping the two sides from blowing off. Guessing they swaged or flanged the tubes from the inside?
I can find no...
2001 VW Beetle, radiator leaking from right tank/core seal when car sits for a week. Holds pressure fine when hot, but I ordered a new radiator. Bought a Mahle/Behr.
Radiator came in - header plates are galvanized steel, crimped to retain the plastic tanks, coolant tubes are 40 round aluminum...
Old thread but I just helped a friend buy a car this past weekend and it was a 2008 Mazda 5 with 120K miles. Mechanically and suspension wise the car is very good. Paint matching on bumpers and driver's door isn't so great, but the used market is so bad that we couldn't be choosy.
Anyways...

I have a stack of 20%...
Thanks everyone for your feedback! I'm going to start looking for a coupon on the Predator and sell my Yamaha EF2000is as it's surge capability isn't very good.

Thanks!! You're the first person to reply (I asked over at RV.net too) Years ago when I first got my Yamaha I did a bunch of testing on it, others did...
I'm thinking of getting one of these for surge loads. I have a Yamaha EF2000is that struggles in eco mode to start our older fridge. Same with the freezer and the freezer has a PTC start circuit and I really don't want burn that out. I could just turn off eco mode but then it'll be noisy and...
FWIW, the filters I just bought with the slits that are about a paper width or so (5 mil?) wide are going to sit on the shelf with all the other filters I have - I don't need to use them right away.
A few months from now I'll go back into my local auto parts store and look and see if the slits...

I was thinking about that. Yeah it would do that at the sacrifice of also dropping pressure to the engine. Oil pump pressure relief is on the pump side (pre...

Just got off the phone with Purolator and spoke with a product technician there. He confirms this is normal and that the core support is regularly tested for size, and that the area of the opening is within 7% of the old design with just holes.
I did email him my photo to confirm the small exit...

The louver slits in the photos in the link below look much more wide open. Maybe they need to tweak their manufacturing process some to get the right and more consistant bend on...

Hopefully the new product line doesn't use cheap media.
I should hope so but these holes are seriously small! Not sure how...
