Amazon has Castrol GTX Classic. The reason I suggest it is, while other oils may be acceptable, Castrol made this oil specifically for our 60's flat tappet camshafts.

As others have said, the valves could be somewhat sunk in the heads, depending on mileage. I bet that timing chain is getting pretty droopy... Here's what I run in my 60's classics:

Wow, Tesla laying off more than 10% of its world wide workforce, two Top Executives leaving

Renesas was hit very hard by the tsunami triggered by the quake; they made chips for use in automobiles. This was key in the car company slowdown. A great company; we sold them equipment.

My company sold very expensive capital equipment to all the major economies in the world; Semiconductor Manufacturing Equipment. In the 80's and 90's, ST Micro was huge, known as the Intel of Europe. The South Koreans and Taiwan came on strong, Samsung and TSMC. I worked closely with all the...

I was talking about valuation. You changed the subject. Bottom line is, many people are bashing Tesla's stock price because it has dropped so far from its peak and has been hammered this year. But Tesla is still, by far, the most valuable car company in the world. That's the numbers.

I think they used a de-tuned Honda 450 motorcycle engine.

Well, that depends on your time frame, now doesn't it. I am a long term investor and my TSLA holdings are in the black. How about yours?

    Tax prep woes ...

Sure, total tax includes more then the IRS amount. Of course tax cost/value depends on what you get in return. IMO, it depends on what you end up with, and a lot of that is dependent on what you do with your earnings. I see so many complainers, blaming everyone and everything but themselves...

Wow, Tesla laying off more than 10% of its world wide workforce, two Top Executives leaving

I was sent to the beautiful north of Germany to a smallish town, Rendsburg. My company was considering buying Peter Wolters, now Lapmaster-Wolters. Flew into Paris and then Hamburg. Drove a drop dead gorgeous, brand new black A6 to Rendsburg. My task was to inventory their IT systems and start...

You and me both. And I live in a feast or famine place. Cyclical as H-E double toothpicks. In high tech, it has been said the measure of a good company is not how well it does in the good times, it is how it manages the down times. And the downs can be brutal.

AG, I basically never buy single stocks; the only ones I own are a little TSLA and a ton of LRCX (grants/options from my working days). Short term ownership gains suffer from tax burden. I don't have the stomach for it. Here's Lam Research (LRCX), which is Semiconductor Manufacturing. Long term...

Exactly. So the question is, even though TSLA has fallen from its lofty heights, its market cap still dwarfs every other car company. What's wrong with the other companies? Over the past 5 years, TSLA rose over 900%.
