My 1998 k1500 calls for dex III in the transfer case, I think they used the same t-case during that time span. I changed mine out last fall so far no problems. Sorry cant help you on the tranny I have an auto.

Hi does anybody know if i can run Mobil 1 75w90 in both the front and rear differentials in this truck? Also do i need to put any LS additive in either one,it does have the Eaton G80 in the rear.

Thanks for all the sugestions, what about maxlife ATF, it is a full synthetic right . It seems to get great reviews here. And it's almost half the price of valvoline DEX VI.
