like the subject says, i.m lloking to do some moding to a couple of extra filters and want to see some of the mods that ralph has made. am looking to lengthen and enlarging a center tube at the bottom of the base and kinda deleting the upper ceter tube, kinda like the frantz setup.

i have a landcruiser with a tee in the same location, dont worry about the thread difference it isnt enough to be concerned about. however i would return it to the pan via a banjo bolt and fitting at the drain. if i recal right it uses a 12x1.25 thread for the plug.
just as the title says, tried to get a hold of Ralph to no avail, however i have purchased a new air filter and want to use it though it has the original plastic pieces inside. does anyone on the board or elsewhere use an m30 motorguard air filter to filter out there engine oil, transmission...

Lonnie the japaneese threads you are trying to find are actyally british pipe threads, you can find adapters for them. i know caterpillar has them in order to adapt there metric stuff to there standard stuff (dont ask)
they did make the 01jr (they still have some left) its about the size of the frantz and motor guard filters. i got mine from Ralph a while ago for about 75 or 80 bucks

i'll look thru the cat catalog tomorrow to see if they even offer a depth type fuel filter, all of the ones ive been changing have been the pleated type.
today i cut open one of those cat fuel filters and dont really see how it could be a 2 micron filter, it was a regular pleated fuel filter no big whoop there
i run a regular spin on coolant filter on my land cruiser. i got the filter base from a ford diesel site and i get the filters from napa (with out the conditioner) so far it has removed all of the sludge building material and other stuff that didnt stick together like sludge, i suspect erosion...
