Diesel as a UCL in petrol.

Yeah the lighter fluids light naptha, the baby oil generally is lightly perfumed white liquid paraffin, they seem to burn quite cleanly, ill try and check my exhaust to see if theres any difference in the smoke. Is that the refined kerosene its readily available here too, by the yellow smelly...

Diesel as a UCL in petrol.

A slight update just tried injecting an infusion of baby oil (liquid paraffin white oil) and lighter fuel (naptha) into my lpg tank and it idles much smoother lol, well it doesnt seem to have had any bad effects yet anyway!!

Cheers for the links and tips Pete, i can confirm i can put something into my lpg filler thro my almost horizontal adapter. Im just trying to take on board and confirm what youve worked on. Im just trying to think what mite go thro the full system and help prolong the engine valves and well as...

Thanks and good chart that Pete, by the looks of it IPA alcohol mite be a good solvent as it could travel thro as a gas to the injectors etc perhaps, what are the tech.benz and natural entries sorry i cant quite translate those entries? I ve forgotten what temperature my vaporiser typically...

Diesel as a UCL in petrol.

I like your work and your thinking pete, I've just had a look at mine, I use a screw in bayonet adapter too and my filler has a ball bearing valve that looks like if you press in vents a couple of times then would allow me to pour in through the bayonet befre refuelling. And I agree it should...

Diesel as a UCL in petrol.

Hey that's pretty ingenious that Pete, well done there, I hadn't thought of anything like that at all. So how d you manage to pour it into your tank with a syrringe or something, mines a horizontal filler, d you think one of those probe pipes attached to an aerosol would squirt in there? I've...

Diesel as a UCL in petrol.

Unlike gasoline, propane doesn't have any additives for this purpose, you can inject into parts of the fuel line directly but the usual method is to infuse a drip feed into the inlet tracts. I was initially going to just put something to protect the valves in with the gasoline for temporary/high...

Diesel as a UCL in petrol.

Yeah that looks like a clean burning light oil without any additives that's paraffin based (paraffin=similar to kerosene a bit is it?)) I don't know the MSDS's but I suppose generally UCL s are going to be some form of light burning oil (thus not motor oil) miscible with fuel with maybe some...

Diesel as a UCL in petrol.

Thanks for the replies and links, so TCW3 is in some way superior and more appropriate than regular motorcycle 2 stroke as a UCL in car engines? And yes, the recommended way of 'prolonging ' valve/seat life (I don't think anythings a complete cure anyway) for some proner engines running on...

Diesel as a UCL in petrol.

Lol, yeah is the TCW3 much better than the normal motorbike 2 stroke? (Its a bit harder to get here in the UK you see) And I presume like all these things synthetics preferable to the rest too?

Diesel as a UCL in petrol.

Yeah I've converted it to run on propane which burns dryer and hotter and can be hard on valve/seats hence why I'm asking for any valve care tips/ideas. (The cost for Lpg ie. propane can be 40% of petroleum here in the UK with almost the same mpg, so there are savings to be made, it doesn't...

Diesel as a UCL in petrol.

Cheers, its a 2006 toyota celica vvti (gt) theyre known to get valve wear on propane and am concerned ive already had acouple of overheating events trying to set it up, am jus looking for any easy ideas to try n protect my valves/seats a bit

Diesel as a UCL in petrol.

Thanks for the link, yeah that's the prescribed antidote, I wonder what's best to fill it with for valve protection that's readily available, I see it's intended for MMO, I wondered whether just 2 stroke (is TCW3 different?) or even bio/diesel would be effective and whether initially added to...

Diesel as a UCL in petrol.

Yea good answer ive had a look at my pcv hose theres a bit of blowby not loads, engines done 150k+, jus want it to last a bit longer i only do about 7k p.a., engine has shims for valve adjustment so quite involved trying to change the gap, looking at possible alternatives to the flashlube oiler...

Diesel as a UCL in petrol.

Yeah good answer, from what I've been advised I think they're are levels of hardness tho I believe even later jap engines are more prone on propane, am just looking for any easy ideas that may protect my valves/seats that's all (maybe make eh last a bit longer if from what I've told s right)
