Well I took the truck in and they had it 2 days, It made the noise for them they said it was normal, the galleys drain down and the motor has to pump oil back up to the lifters to oil them. It's typical with the 6.2 they have had quite a bit of questioning on it from day on with it. Love my...
So guys my truck just rolled 9,500 miles. Day 1 it's made this noise but now it does it when it's warm it used to only do it when it was cold. When I first start the truck you can hear something ping or knock until the oil pump starts pumping oil is this normal? Or does it need to go in?
Which oil is the best to buy? I returned a bunch of oil filters that I had for diesels to Oreillys and got 205 bucks for them all. I'm debating between Mobil one afe or the pennzoil platinum. I'm trying to accomplish a 10,000 mile oil change
I agree with the motor craft oil part, there is nothing wrong with the O'rielly oil i just think its really cheap oil and there could be a better solution.
Okay guys got another one for you, this truck I bought brand new in 2011 with the intentions of it not seeing a lot of miles that's why I have my 250, the truck sees mainly highway miles I pull a bass boat to Texas twice a year and that's about all the towing it see's maybe a 28 foot boat every...
The local farm and ranch store I buy my oil at carries Kendall and citgo, they have been around for along time. It's funny that's where my father and grandfather bough there oil, Kendall is 5.99 a quart and citgo is 5.25 a quart
I'm also a big fan of citgo superglued full syntheic, that's all my grandfather ran and had luck for many years. So I think it's a toss up between citgo and Kendall for me.
