    Recommended car shipper?

Within the past six years, I've bought three cars off eBay and had them shipped to me. I use do youship.com, It is eBay's shipping partner. Two out of the three experiences were excellent, one of them was a joke. If I remember correctly, you can look at reviews and delivery estimates For price...

Best pistol grip tactical shotgun <$1000

I have wondered about pistol grip shotguns for some time. Never had the opportunity to shoot one however, I have been told that they are terrible on the wrist. I presume it takes a fair amount of practice to get a good hang of it.

    Looking at a 2017 Accord V6...

I agree with you 100%. First brand new car was a 2009 Nissan versa, white color, manual transmission. Turns out the white paint they used that year had a lot of Online complaints for being quite thin. At the 3 to 4 year mark, multiple areas of rust formed from the front to rear of the car. At...

    Looking at a 2017 Accord V6...

Greg- Modern steel metallic. Manual transmission only had the two silver options for color. I prefer white or brighter colored cars, the dark gray definitely grew on me. I hand wash mostly but the paint overall really held up nicely. I did only keep the car two years however. Car was always...

    Looking at a 2017 Accord V6...

I had a 2015 accord LX, six speed manual transmission. Still to date the best car I've owned. I sold it in 2017 when we needed the van, I still regret it to this day. It's the same body style as your accord however four-cylinder not six. Overall incredible car, excellent mpg, great ride in both...

    bathroom toilet leaking help

Hi, One of the toilets in the house has started leaking around the base. I've tightened it down As much as I can, however the lake persists. Would it be reasonable to apply a ring of silicone between the base and the floor or do I need to unbolt the toilet and replace whatever seal has failed...

Walmart in Canada closing Lube and Tire Express

I used Walmart for their auto services for probably 10 years prior to us buying our first house (I have a garage finally!). Had an issue once with a TPMS sensor that got damaged during install. They reimbursed me for a replacement from the local dealer on-the-spot. I was very happy with their...

    Certified Used Toyota; 8 miles.

To echo what ecotourist wrote, I remember reading an article by five or so years ago mentioning CPO cars having repairs and body work done and never mentioned on the Carfax/bill of sale. I myself would definitely go over any car with a fine tooth comb, let alone a near new car especially given...

    Any Paint/Body Experts?

Get yourself a cheap heat gun from harbor freight. Hair dryer will probably not work. I used a heat gun several years ago for the first time when my car got hit in the parking lot, worked like a charm. Hair dryer did absolutely nothing in that case, probably because the plastic bumper was too thick.

    I got a "new" truck

Nice find, overall I think you paid a very fair price given the condition. I think it's a smart idea to leave it in quarantine, probably just park it out in the sun for a week at least. After that to get yourself a few trashbags and get all that junk out. Be very careful, I agree with the above...

    To winterize or not?

I personally have been putting Sta-Bil into all of my small-engines for years. Something I learned from my pops when I was a kid. It seems to have worked thus far. Other, than that, I keep the tank half full during the winter just so that no lines freeze (I had read this years ago related to...

Critique my purchase: 1962 Dodge Lancer

$1500 is a steal for that car. It is a beauty and looks to be in good shape for a near-60 year old ride. I like the color combination, the exterior blue is a really nice royal shade. I hope you restore it and keep it as original as possible.

    Three prong outlet question

Hi, I have a few two plug outlets in my garage and most of my power tools / LED shoplights are 3 prong. I have in the past used 3-prong-to-2-prong adapters. My neighbor recently made a comment that I should have the outlets changed because the adapters are "a fire hazard". Any truth to this...
