Ive no issue with RL but M1 0w40 is second to none. Its a great oil in every regard

Looks good...that slight varnish is harmless. I'd be happy with that at almost 300k!

I have a 2019. I dumped the oil after 1500 miles and replaced it with Mobil 1 0w40. It gets changed every 10,000 miles and the TBN is still over 5! Very easy on oil and very very nice vehicles...you will love it!

I ran 0w40 in my fb25s many a time. No issues at all. They are known to use oil though so watch those levels!

I had a forester and a outback with the fb25 engine. I ran 15k ocis on Mobil 1 EP. great UOAs...keep an eye on your oil level. Those engines have a bad ring design and are known to burn it...
