Quick question for Molekule or any other expert.

So then Borate Ester would be one of the first lines of defense during warmup? What are some chlorine compounds? How would they show up during a oil analysis(if possible)? Phosphate compounds would show up as phosphate I guess, and a sulfur would be moly?

Quick question for Molekule or any other expert.

OK I lied, maybe not quick Its a pretty general question, but here it goes anyway. What AW & EP additives are effective when oil temps are low (I consider low -40C to +60C ) ? Also what are their indicators in a VOA/UOA, and in what amounts (PPM) are they effective as AW & EP additives...

    I struck gold!

First, who said anything about sueing? I still have the oil actually, and I could get it analyzed if I wanted. If you want I can take pics. And as sure as I am about the seacrap causing the damage, your just as sure it didn't. Look I really don't care if you use Seafoam or not, but I'm done...

Its a 94 VR6 with 65k miles. I believe the metal came from the bearings, yes. I believe that the seacrap dropped the vics, TBN, increased the TAN and stripped any moly plating from the bearings. I did more then just idling. I held the rpm at about 2-2500rpm, ocassionally revved it to 3-3500rpm...

No distributor, it has coil packs. My fathers motor too.

    I struck gold!

Can you prove it? I bet you I could find the same amount of people who would say the same thing about Slick50, Duralube and Lucas. Again, can you prove that? Show me your UOA that states the TBN and TAN are all within safe levels. Also, is it safe enough not to strip and moly or other forms of...

    I struck gold!

No just because its old doesn't disqualify it, but being a harmful useless waste of money does! I group seacrap into the same group as Lucas oil stabilizer and Slick50, nothing but hype. Change my oil regularly? Again, how the **** do you know how often I change my oil and filter? I never...

    I struck gold!

Buddy, I don't think you know what your talking about! Did you see my oil? Your assuming I'm some idiot that doesn't know what he see's when he see's it. Your the one jumping to conclusions without seeing first hand what went down. You didn't need a UOA to see this bearing dust. There was...

If you look through some posts on here, they directly compare seacrap with water. There is pics of the chambers and pistons and the water wins hands down. From the looks of it, seacrap barely does anything.

When I pulled the filter out of the drain pan it stirred the mix a little and you could see the bronze particles on the surface for a second. Also when I emtied the pan, most of the particles were on the bottom. Infact they might still be there. I could take a pic if no one believes me.

What is this Motorlube, and where do I get it? Also Neo, and where?

    I struck gold!

Seacrap has instructions on the back for adding it the crankcase to clean out sludge, it even says you can drive with, which I didn't even do. It doesn't clean out the underside of the valve cover unless you add it to the crankcase oil. Also my motor has a cartridge style oil filter, the lower...

    I struck gold!

NEVER USE SOLVENT ANYTHING IN A MOTOR!!! Engine flush, or FI cleaner. I've learned my lesson. This weekend I decided to use Seafoam to clean the chambers of my motor because it seemed to be idling a little ruff. I brought one bottle of the stuff and I already had a bit of Redline FI cleaner...

    Quaker State 4X4 Synthetic Blend 5w-30 SM/GF4

I think thats the perfect additive pack right there. Could use a little more zinc and phos, but still not bad. Too bad the base oil is a little weak.

I wonder why this soo much different then the 5w30? I'd like to see the 10w40, although it is a SL still.
