Whats the recommened oil for a 2gr-fe with the famous piston slap noise when cold?

2008 sienna with piston slap on cold start and for about the first 15 min of driving then goes away. Got an extremely good deal on the van what oil is recommended for this noise? I was thinking a touch thicker like 5w 40 or should I just put 5w30 in it and try to ignore the sound? There's no...

2006 Toyota Sienna Transmission Fluid and filter Change

Where is this castrol transmax full synthetic? All I see is import multi vehicle.

    New castrol transmax ATF?

Has anyone else seen this castrol ATF? It's full synthetic and supposedly works in CVTs and regular automatics. Would this work well in a Type IV Toyota transmission over the transmax multi vehicle import? It appears to be slightly thicker viscosity over valoline maxlife ATF.

2006 Toyota Sienna Transmission Fluid and filter Change

So maxlife is a good choice in this situation? I've tried it in 3 different vehicles and it just didn't seem to shift quite right I think it's because the viscosity is so low

2006 Toyota Sienna Transmission Fluid and filter Change

I've got an 06 sienna 159k and I want to change the transmission fluid. It has a weird shift every so often completely random and sometimes has the down shift lag when taking off from a stoplight when not coming to a complete stop. The fluid is red but kind of dark. It was over filled by half a...

Is maxlife really a good choice for the Nissan RE5R05A?

There is no kind of gasket behind the filter and everything was tight and everything is tight now as well.

Is maxlife really a good choice for the Nissan RE5R05A?

Radiator has been replaced with one of the 2017 or 18 really expensive modern Nissan radiators that have 0 smod reports on them and I check my coolant and transmission fluid periodically to make sure it's not mixing. The valve body and pan was way to clean looking to have had any water in it...

Is maxlife really a good choice for the Nissan RE5R05A?

There are no codes on any of the computer modules on the entire vehicle. My scan tool is capable of reading anything obd1 OBD2 and manufacturer codes.

Is maxlife really a good choice for the Nissan RE5R05A?

I checked the fluid on a level surface at 150°F

Is maxlife really a good choice for the Nissan RE5R05A?

How exactly do I put it into learning mode? I did a reset a few times with my scan tool but nothing seemed to change. I have no fault codes on the entire car at all. Everything else works as it should engine runs perfectly and everything on the drivetrain is tight except the differential...

Is maxlife really a good choice for the Nissan RE5R05A?

I've owned this 06 Nissan Pathfinder for about a year now and right when I got it I changed the transmission fluid over to the red jug Valvoline maxlife full synthetic ATF. Before I changed the fluid everything seemed good and shifted fine but since I've changed the fluid over it seems to not be...

    Carquest Red vs NAPA Proselect

That's what I've read I've just seen mann and hummel printed on it somewhere usually but maybe they stopped doing that.

    Carquest Red vs NAPA Proselect

Yellow code: 070119 D 3 06:57 White Code: 061919 D 2 19:19 This is off the shrink wrapped proselect. Hard to read. The white box filters are around 4 each the shrink wrapped are 2.99 each in the mp case.

    Carquest Red vs NAPA Proselect

The Carquest one is the one that I'm most curious about it doesn't even have mann and hummel on it.
