We had 50 in CT today and I was able to finally clean my Bolt. The traffic film and other garbage on the car was amazing. Looks new again.

If you get your gas at Costco, there is only 20-30 cents difference, which is a big difference from other stations that get 50-70 cents more for 93 v. 87.

To ask about the use of Mobil 1 0W40 as a substitute for the FCA certified stuff, and the board's view on doing an oil change at 1,000 miles after the car having sat for two years. You know, time or mileage?? I thought it was clear; I guess not.

In case you didn't notice, it's a totally different engine, and the car had been sitting two years...

Agree on the spec comment; didn’t know how strict they are (It’s my first Fiat), although I’ve never had engine problems under warranty in 50 years of owning cars. Based on prior comments, I would just assume Mobil didn’t see fit to get certified. Thanks to all.

Yes, they did take out most of the body roll; pretty flat cornering. The reason I was wondering about the early change was that the car had a build date...

Just purchased a 2019 Spider Lusso, which just turned 1,000 miles and I want to do an oil change. Factory fill is 5W40 full syn. I have Mobil 1 European car formula 0W40. Anyone have thoughts on the wisdom of this? Car will be used through a New England winter. Thanks.

Thanks for all the comments. Bought it from a dealer who had it in their stock the entire time. Now up to 350 miles and will follow the 1000 mile advice.

Will post pictures tomorrow. So far, it's great. Engine is pretty linear for a turbo, handling is direct and flat, and the car itself appears to be screwed together pretty well. Very pleased after three days...
