Making new galvanized sheet metal match the old metal.

I tried some vinegar on some of the old tin as the bottom was still shiny. That actually made the old look newer again which isn't what I want. It would be nice but I am not doing the whole building as it is big. I want to make my new stuff look old. Thanks

Making new galvanized sheet metal match the old metal.

Hey guys, I recently installed some new galvanized metal on a shed and would like to "weather" the new stuff so it matches the old tin. I see you can use toilet bowl cleaner and maybe vinegar but I also don't want to cause any rusting issues. What are your thoughts?

    Good charger to desulfate batteries.

I do feel that the Noco G7200 that I have does help the battery with the repair mode because as stated earlier I can charge with my Schumacher that will say it is bad, I believe it because of the times that it has happened I felt the battery was bad due to age and cranking ability. That is why I...

    Good charger to desulfate batteries.

So I have used a Noco G7200 and while I know it works good for desulfating batteries I have had bad luck with reliability. 2 that only lasted 2 or 3 years and then 1 that made 5 years. I am looking for a good charger that is known to do a good job desulfating batteries that will last. Looking...

    Battery Charger/Desulfator

I have gotten a few more years from problem batteries with my Noco G7200 using the repair mode. Problem is the chargers haven't made more than 5 years for me.

    T6 in Outback 2.5

My thought is that Shell is leary about giving it a S rating. I think I am going to use it as my car doesn't burn oil so in theory I should be fine with my cat. I know one thing whenever I change in my 99 cummins it sure smells like an oil refinery after I change oil from the blow by LOL.

    T6 in Outback 2.5

The 1 gallon jug and 2.5 gallon jug are both 5w40. I don't think I have ever saw 0w40. Just wondering why the 2.5 is not rated S anymore. The 2.5 is newer, maybe shell changed it and it is no longer recommended for gas engines?

    T6 in Outback 2.5

Hey guys I would like to use this oil in my 2012 Outback 2.5. The book says I can use 5w40 or 5w30 for my temps but it requires SM. The question I have is that my 1 gallon jug says CJ-4/SM but my 2.5 gallon jug just says CK-4 with no mention of the S. Just looking for some knowledge on this...

    Purolator oil filter problem

Well I finally stopped at Napa today and put the shorter 1358 in and it does not appear to be leaking. I would highly recommend staying away from the longer filters if you have the oil filter setup like I have with the big nut on it. I would tell by the PL14610 that it was hitting and not...

    Purolator oil filter problem

I think I am going to have to use the recommended filter as there is a nut that is on the threads that prohibits the filter from going on all the way. I suppose I could try measuring how far the threads are sunk in some of the filters too.
