I don’t use oil additives either. I use diesel fuel additive.

You probably have never used different additives followed with oil analysis. Oil analysis can be used to see how combustion is occurring inside the engine.

You can research my oil analysis I’ve posted on here since 2018. They indicate the additive I’m using has positive effects.

Chevron markets their “Biomass based blend” as Diesel #2. It’s not compatible with older diesels that use rubber seals. It makes the seals shrink and causes leaks. Everything needs to be replaced by Viton seals.

No, it’s not. And b100 is illegal is in California.

California has subsidized LCFS fuels so it is profitable for vendors to peddle biofuels instead of petro diesel. I have 3 diesel vehicles, that’s not changing.

Like all biofuels the QC is inconsistent. It also has lower BTUs/gal has 2x ash as regular diesel. What’s with all these members telling me to buy fuel that is $0.50-1.00 more expensive and has lower fuel economy. I ain’t looking for advice.

Northern California must be different because they only sell B5 at my local warehouse.

Yesterday Costco B5 was $0.50/gallon higher than 7-eleven. It also has biodiesel which I don’t want. Additive cost @ 400:1 is $0.10/gallon. Its far cheaper and has better results.
